Barbara Cole Uterhardt (Artistic Company Manager) has worked on over 100 productions with Atlanta theaters such as Actor's Express, ART Station, Aurora Theatre, Jewish Theatre of the South, The Shakespeare Tavern, Process Theatre, and Theater Emory, as well as OnStage Atlanta. Barbara graduated from Emory in 1999 with Major in Theater Studies and then became Managing Director of Soul-stice Repertory Ensemble. She is currently an Artistic Associate with Process Theatre Company and teaches children at Applause for Kids Performing Arts Studio. In the media, she has been labeled one of Atlanta's Directing Super-stars as well as Creative Loafing's Critic Pick in 2004 for "One of Atlanta's most under-used actors.”
Jenna Edmonds is an Atlanta native who started working with OSA during the production of Urinetown--and has loved it ever since! As a vocalist and actress, she has worked on stages from San Francisco to London with Atlanta Young Singers of Callanwolde and other groups. Recently, she made her television debut as an extra on "Tyler Perry's House of Payne."
Bobbie Elzey has been an actor in Atlanta for over 20 years, and has recently been seen at OnStage Atlanta in M. Butterfly, Social Security, Attala County Garden Club, and as Ethel in On Golden Pond. She currently is working with Atlanta Theatre On The Go. She played Peter in Peter Pan at the age of 57 (“ flying was such a thrill!”). She also is a fitness professional and trainer; the day the Soviet Union fell she was training instructors in Russia and was a skill judge for the International Aerobic Championship in Moscow. She presently serves on the Board of Directors for the Decatur Arts Alliance. She is excited to be a part of this talented group of professionals.
Tom Gillespie studied both lighting design and computer programming at the Univ. of Tennessee, Knoxville. Being unwilling to starve for his art, his day job is with Electronic Data Systems Corp. He has designed lights for several dozen shows, for various groups here in the Atlanta area and in central New Jersey; his first lighting design for OSA was 1999's "The Skin of Our Teeth."
Harley Gould designs lights, hangs lights, directs lighting for video, runs lighting equipment, designs sets, builds sets, paints sets, loads the things in, loads them out, and works out all kinds of theatrical special effects. He also creates art (of various disciplines), designs online graphics and web pages, and sometimes acts (if you can call it that). Oh yes, and sometimes he writes short stories.
Michael Henry Harris recently moved to Atlanta from New York City where he studied with Maggie Flanigan (Acting), Shane Ann Younts (Voice, Speech, Shakespeare), and Ted Morin (Movement). Favorite New York credits include Borachio in Much Ado About Nothing, The Duke in Measure for Measure, and Henry in The Back of Your Fingers. Michael is co-founder and co-Artistic Director of InViolet Repertory Theater in New York City and a former Main Stage Actor at Whole World Theatre in Atlanta. His short play Georgia was recently featured in Clubbed Thumb's Pageant of the States Festival at the Ohio Theater in Soho New York.
David Klein has served as the Artistic Director of DeKalb School of the Arts, a major performing arts magnet school located in metro Atlanta, for the past 7 years. He holds 3 degrees in Theatre including a BFA and an MFA in Acting and a PhD in Theatre from FSU. His University teaching credits include distinguished tenures at the University of Pittsburgh, The Florida State University and The University of Louisiana. During his 25 year history as an actor, he has appeared in over 100 roles. His 16 years as a director encompass work in almost every feasible theatrical venue from High School and University theatre to Community and Professional theatres and in nearly every genre from touring shows, dinner theatre and musicals to classical theatre and cutting edge experimental pieces. In Atlanta he has acted for Soul-stice Repertory Ensemble and OnStage Atlanta, and he has dialect coached for Dad's Garage Theatre. His work as a director has been seen at Atlanta Classical Theatre and Not Merely Players. His production of Straightaway Dangerous was named a top 10 theatre event by the AJC and best play of 2003 by the Southern Voice. In 2006 his DSA production of 43 Plays for 43 Presidents was presented at the Edinburgh International Fringe Festival to critical acclaim. David resides in Pine Lake, Georgia.
Jennifer R. Lee joins the Artistic Company at OnStage Atlanta after several shows with the theatre, most recently M. Butterfly. She's also performed with Off-Off Peachtree Theatre, Underground Theatre, Dorsey Studios and the Southeast Playwrights Project.
Charlie Miller is a veteran of the Atlanta theater community having performed around town for over 15 years in several theaters and productions. Originally from Daytona Beach, Florida, he came to Atlanta in 1991 where he got his master's degree in operations research from Georgia Tech. Currently, he works as an IT contractor for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Not only does he love theater, he is an avid volleyball player who also enjoys music and world travel.
Cathe Hall Payne has been an Atlanta actress for over 25 years and has been seen at OnStage Atlanta, Actor's Express, Theatre Decatur, Stage Door Players and Theatre Arts Guild. She enjoys live theatre, but she also enjoys doing commercial work and has been in over 15 commercials. Cathe has been an Administrative Legal Assistant for the State Bar of Georgia for 15 years and was named employee of the year 2007.
Jeremy Riegel is excited to be working at OnStage Atlanta. He graduated from the University of Georgia in 2004 with a B.A. in Telecommuncations (don't ask him to explain what it is). Shortly after graduating he wrote, directed, and acted in the short film Cecily (viewable on his MySpace page), which premiered at the Action on Film International Film Festival in Long Beach, CA. His stage credits include Art, The Children's Hour, The Imaginary Invalid, Bad Seed, and his favorite role - so far - as Teddy in Arsenic and Old Lace, all of which were performed at Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah. He would like to thank Barbara and everyone at OnStage for this great opportunity.
Angie Short is excited to be a company member at OnStage Atlanta. She was recently seen in Christmas Belles where she appeared as Raynerd. Other stage credits include All in the Timing at OnStage Atlanta. Angie also enjoys stage managing and prop design. During the day Angie is a paralegal for Autry Horton & Cole. She lives at home with Cathe and their ”Animal Rescue group”.
Justin Sims has been acting professionally in and around Atlanta for two years. Since graduating with a degree in Theatre from the University of Georgia, Justin has honed his skills in the art of stage combat and physical comedy. He has also been seen puppeteering, singing and performing improvised comedy. Justin is happy to add his talents to the diverse group at OnStage Atlanta.
Kristel Wunderlin is thrilled to be part of OnStage Atlanta's Artistic Company after having performed in the award winning show The Wild Party in 2009. Kristel loves music and singing and was featured in OSA's production of The Harvey Milk Show.
